My wife was complaining that since I got the streamer set up I spend too much time in the chair and need to exercise more.

So I compromised and told her I would play LPs today so I needed to walk over to the turntable every 20 minutes.

If you are thinking "Yah, that will never work", you're right.   

Very interesting album. Being a longtime Steely Dan fan, I've heard of this album, but I've never actually listened to it in it's entirety! I've only heard I.G.Y. and none of the other tracks. I'm more interested now after learning how long it took to record it (8 months!)  and the many trials and tribulations the musicians went through - magnets, dead rats, and writer's block! Also interested in what the final sound on MoFi ended up. From what I've read, this was one of the first fully digital recordings.

I picked this album up on the 1st day of it's original release and as such I have an early copy of the first pressing, which I always though sounded great. The MoFi is a little better, but I don't know if there would be a bigger difference if comparing it to something latter in the press runs of the Warner Bros LP.

Penn & Teller Present Music to Look at Boxes By

This is a live recording of the jazz duo that played during the pre-show music for Penn and Tellers magic show in Vegas. While the music was playing the audience was invited to go up on stage and examine the boxes that Penn and Teller used as stage props during the show to make sure that they were just ordinary boxes, thus the name of the album.

My wife and I saw this show then they took it on the road and made a stop on Long Island. It was great. Penn and teller are my favorite magicians and I would go and see them again any time they are in town. The don't do the most elaborate magic, but they are extremely entertaining, and isn't that the point of any show? My son is a member of the Society of American Magicians and we know how pretty much every one of their tricks are done and we still enjoy the heck out of their performances.
