Found this in the dollar bin and reluctantly decided to take a chance on it. Well, I should have trusted my first instinct. If I want to listen to Sinatra music I should just pull out a Sinatra album. Manilow has nothing to add here that is worth listening to. (Then again, Frank is a tough act to follow......)

I'd forgotten Linda covered lots of other people's work, sometimes it hits, sometimes not so much.

Elvis Costello's 'Alison' a perfect example, not sure how I feel about this one.

This minty Verve deep groove pressing is fantastic.  Oscar Peterson, Barney Kessel, and Ray Brown join Stuff Smith.  Highly recommended if you can find a copy.

There have been a number of artists doing cover type albums lately (Rod Stewart, Michael McDonald etc.)  and some of them ended up being decent albums. So I thought I would give this a try.  Hey it might have been good, not likely, but it might have.
