Thelonious Monk With John Coltrane

Had to play 1st tune twice on last album to 'get it', but after that it was an enjoyable listen. Let's see what we do with Coltrane in the mix.

After cleaning and re-lubing my TT bearing I found myself rechecking all my other settings, VTA, anti-skate, cartridge loading, speed controller, etc. So I'm not indulging in some sonic masterpieces to fine tune things (and they do sound very good). Just a side of each.

New agey, mostly electronic keyboards, catchy songs, and ooohh the sonics on this.

I remember seeing this tour live, and it was truly as amazing as captured on this album


Yes, that Lyle Mays, from the Pat Metheny group. If you like Pat you must hear Lyle's first two solo disks if you can find them. Great music (you can certainly hear his influence on Pat's music) and great sonics.
