Americana per Ives. I love this record!
Typical Naxos-perfect recording of the best concert band in the world, United States Marine Band. Full of big brass, drums, and lots of Ives humor and gall.

Disk 1.  This Mosaic boxed set has everything Duke Ellington recorded for Brunswick, Columbia, and Master Recordings in the 1930s on 11 CDs.  It really is essential stuff if you're a fan of jazz from this period.  The only thing that would have made this more complete is Duke's work for RCA Victor from this period.  Still, this is a fantastic set and the music has never sounded better.
