Rick Wakeman: Journey to the Centre  of the Earth

Mobile Fidelity  1/2 Speed Mastered Anadisc 200 LP

I can remember sitting in my mother's living room when this first came out in 1974 and watching Wakeman perform this in concert on ABC's Midnight Special series. Shortly after that show I wired a set of line out jacks into my mother's TV so I could route the audio from these concert shows through my Pioneer reciever, which as lame as it was, still beat the pants off of the internal speaker on the TV. Of course then I just got yelled at to turn the volume down as the Midnight Specials were on the air at..... midnight, and everyone else in the house was trying to sleep. My listening tendencies were starting to show , even back then.

The Buggs ~ The Beetle Beat

QuoteThe Buggs' only album, The Beetle Beat, released in March 1964, consisted of covers of Beatles songs ("I Want To Hold Your Hand", "She Loves You") with some humorous originals ("Big Ben Hop" {"Sassy Sue"}, "Liverpool Drag" {"Why Won't You Leave That Man?"}, "Teddy Boy Stomp" {"I'll Never Leave You"}, "Mersey Mercy" {"You Got Me Bugged"}, "Swingin' Thames" {"That's For Sure"}, "London Town Swing" {"Why Can't You Love the Boy Who Loves You"}), "East End" {"Since You Broke My Heart"}, and a cover version of "Just One Look" (as "Soho Mash").
Despite the cover displaying "The original Liverpool sound", and claiming to have been "Recorded in England," The Buggs hailed from New Jersey and the album was actually recorded in the New York/New Jersey area.
