Well as good as the Benny Goodman CD was, that is how disappointing this on is. They boast all kinds of sonic wonders from their one step mastering and pressing procedures. While I have no way of knowing that these are not super faithful to what is on the master tapes, the bottom line is the recordings them selves are not really worth listening to. The performances are nothing special and the recordings sound amateurish at best. The remind me of the recordings made of my high school orchestra where a mike was just place somewhere in the back of an empty auditorium and the record ended up sounding like they were paying in a bathroom somewhere. I would pass this one up. I am glad I only paid $2 for it.

Just more proof that all that glitters is not gold, and in audio physical gold does not always lead to sonic gold.

I saw this at the Crack House and figured what the heck, for 69 cents I can take a chance.

Well this sounded like it was mastered from a cassette copy of the album, and a cheap cassette at that.  :slap
