Put this on as soon as I got home from work. Great stuff- may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it can't be denied as an almost singular piece of work- Jim Steinman produced something very special.

I'm going out on a limb here- how do you choose which version of a classical piece to listen to? I was reminded by your post of how much I liked the #7- so I randomly chose one off of Tidal- I looked for a hi-res one of course. It sounded good but didn't move me. So I put on the version you had chosen, and it 'felt' much better. It didn't sound as good per se, but much more enjoyable.
We should post some pieces that we feel are 'best'- not SQ wise, but moving.

I enjoyed this- I like to listen to music while reading books, and this is a cut above the very banal 'reading' music I wind up with on Tidal. CPE Bach also put out some oboe concertos I happened upon while listening to this.

I really liked this one too, so much so that I ordered a copy of the SACD.

Music For Hotel Restaurant Bar Vol. 3 by Mr Blue streamed via Roon

I found out about the artist Mr Blue, who is from Tanzania, through utube and then on Roon. There are 23 volumes available and many more that aren't released yet on Qobuz or Tidal yet. I went thru all 23 volumes as I was curious. The recordings are good quality, spacious and holographic, so I looked up the studio which is Blue Heaven in Salinas KS. Their recording studio is a former church and the some of the instruments are sax, flute, accordion, piano. Fun to listen to
