I like my Jeff Beck too- a storied career and one of the best. For those inclined to bass and a loud time of it, check out 'Space For The Papa' from the album 'Who Else!'. A system workout. It's from 1999- thanks Steve R from Audio Syndrome for turning me on to it.
I was born in 1960, and everyone I hung out with had 'Blow by Blow' when it came out in 1975- just one of those things.

Recorder 1: Pink Floyd 1969-08-09 Plumpton Festival Ahlqvist
Lineage: Cassette Master (Ahlqvist) > DAT (Borg) > HDD
Recorder 2: New share from Lord Snooty
Lineage: reel master > reel or reel master > cassette > reel > 24/96 FLAC

Both recorders are originally mono recordings that were transferred to analog stereo format in their lineage. The stereo channels each preserve unique fidelity of the original mono recording in both of these recordings. The azimuth error offset between channels from imperfect transfer was corrected to allow the channels to be mixed back to true mono to preserve the recordings to the fullest extent.

The two recorders combined in sync create a single stereo recording of the event with recorder 1 placed left channel and recorder 2 right channel for a genuine stereo audience recording from 1969. The sound just comes to life revealing a stereo soundfield and instrument panning from the live mix. Some of the stereo heard here is more a scavengers find than intentional with some 'false' stereo effect from dropouts and differing fidelity between recorders but there are still more real elements from the show preserved here. The recorders also reinforce each other by lessening the impact of any dropouts and other artifacts in one or the other.

Recorder 2 contains little content above 8kHz. 8.2kHz and above from recorder 1 is placed in mono to avoid a pronounced lopsided effect while keeping full stereo separation of those remaining elements. The high end in both recorders but especially recorder 1 changes throughout. Some parts and Cymbaline as a whole were muffled sounding. Recorder 1 has a high end pulsing effect especially in the louder parts. This was all restored as well as possible. This earlier generation recorder 1 still ends at the start of Pink Jungle and we return to mono sound for the remainder of the show. It's a little like getting busted in a floor seat without a ticket and sent back to the bleachers! There is a cut in recorder two right after recorder 1 ends. I recycled some nearby moments to patch the cut to put the music back on beat.

The recordings were cleaned of the worst artifacts like mains hum and thumps and clanks from hitting the microphone. Fluctuating levels from recording level adjustments, tape/device compression in the louder parts, and generational artifacts corrected as well as possible. All mastering and restoration work from speed correction, synchronizing recorders, artifact and noise removal or reduction, eq surgery and correction, and dynamics work using Reaper DAW with Waves & UA plugins and iZotope RX spectral editor. Recorder 1 was upsampled to 96k with SOX prior to work. The goal as always is to present the music free of distracting artifacts and fidelity issues with the most full and natural sound that remains in the recording. Artificial enhancements like generating false stereo or using samples are strictly avoided.
