Mountain ~ The Road Goes Ever On

Samples

Up early going to take the dogs down to the Delaware river for a run. Then for a quiet walk in Belvidere NJ. A great way to start a Sat.

Don Ellis Orchestra - Electric Bath (CD)

- Rather provocative cover art, which is reason enough to get this one, and suprising since it was recorded in 1967. This is big band jazz with a progressive flair, because there is nothing in it in 4/4 tempo.  Lots of dynamic flair and strange beats that still sit comfortably in the ear. This is "progressive" music before the rock world picked up on it.

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have  to blow your nose.

Bonnie Raitt - Slipstream (CD)
- The new one by Bonnie. About what you would expect, very good but not something that will be nominated for album of the year. Lots of energy from this 63 year old singer.

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have  to blow your nose.

Twice Removed From Yesterday
Robin Trower | Format: flac

Some good, bluesy, old-school British rock guitar. I prefer the next album, Bridge of Sighs, but 1st 2 songs out of the gate on this gets it done for me.
