Peter Frampton Band: All Blues

Universal CD

I always just thought of Perter Frampton as a 70s pop artists. But when I saw this one in the library, which was just released a few months ago,  I figured it was just another aging rocker trying to squeeze a few bucks out of anther album. But it cost me nothing to find out so I said to myself "What the heck, I'll give it a shot."

Well I have to tell you, much to my surprise, Frampton as got some serious Blues chops.

A very enjoyable album.  :thumb:

To deviate further just for a moment, here's a link to a 12 string guitar made famous by Roger McGuinn of the Byrds. Was listening to some Byrds albums last week. Not so good recordings, but fun nonetheless.

This thread was started before I became a member here, but as of right now I guess you could say that I am the "majority shareholder" here, so I want to weigh in on the concept of off topic posts.

I love them!  IMO the whole point of this thread is to get people thinking. Whether it is about the music, the artists, something musical similar, or anything else that pops into your mind after reading a post I welcome all comments.

If a particular off topic comment starts to spur a lot of discussion then perhaps we should move it to a thread of its own. But I have not seen that happen all too often and it is easy enough to deal with if it does happen.

I would rather deal with splitting a thread once in a while than have people hold back their thoughts simply because they don't think they belong here.

Post away!

ProArte CD

I grabbed this one out of the quarter bin at Mr. Cheapo's thinking it was church organ music. It turns out it is a theater organ (my bad for not looking closer) and instead of Chirstmas in church this sounds more like Christmas on a Merry-Go-Round or in a 1960s roller rink.
