Maintenance...

I am having some audiophile types over next weekend, so today I did some maintenance, for lack of a better term.
Tightened speaker driver screws, tightened speaker base footers to speaker. Removed and reinserted speaker wire bananas at amp and speaker ends.
Did the same with RCA jacks at amp and CD player.
Cleaned the spades on the Walker HDL's connected to the speakers and reattached.
Tidied up/ wire tied Bluetooth electric cord.
I'm never one to discount mind over matter, but I swear the system sounds ever so slightly better. Like chicken soup, these things can't hurt...

Completely agreed James. I have done the same thing. If you have any tubes, might pull, spray clean both socket and tube pins, and re-insert. Internal speaker spades possible, or are they soldered? Just some thoughts as I look at my system.

  Yes Sirre Bob. Clean connections do wonders for the high frequencies. Cable management is important as well. Should not touch each other. Power cords away from signal cables.

Soldered on my speaker internals(externals really- Open Baffle), but thanks for that- I wouldn't have thought of it! No tubes- Class A amp, next best thing to my ears.
