I read Michael's post again and you're right. I also didn't really address his question. I started streaming wirelessly with the Squeezebox and always had trouble with it. Then went wireless with the Auralic Mini which worked better. So I have become a bit jaded with wireless streaming and my current wired connection is very low noise and sounds great. Does wired give me an advantage in sound quality? I doubt it. I have also become spoiled with the mesh system and could probably get by with 2 units. But these aren't expensive systems and having 3 routers has worked out great.

Having this flexibility gives me wired and wireless options in the future should I upgrade my streamer at some point.

Just a quickie note.

My streamer is <more or less> in line of sight to my Comcast router at an approximate 30 foot distance. Using wifi yields decent sounding music, but I want to try wired to learn if I can hear any improvement. There is a cable (splitter??) box in my garage, but I don't need to attach anything there.

I'll be in Alaska in two days, and I'll do more research while I'm there. I will see what's available on Amazon. If I have any more questions, I'll ask here.

The reason I went wired was when streaming was new the signal would always start buffering but not with wired. Today speeds and tech is different.

Keep us posted what you decide, Michael. If you haven't looked into inline filters and optical isolation devices, it would be worth checking out because of the noise reduction and increased resolution. The iFi products I use are a very good value and I have an UBER just like you do.
