Apogee Duetta Signature Speakers

Apogee Duetta Signature Speakers in damn good condition for their age. They have none of that Apogee bass buzz because I've been driving them through a subwoofer crossover cutoff filter which limits the bottom end to 80Hz. That NHT X2 subwoofer crossover is included in the price. To be honest they could use a new paint job and if you are considering these for a refurbishment then I would suggest getting the paint redone at that time. But they sound glorious as is.

The crossovers have been removed from the speaker and are in a separate box enabled for bi-wiring. Capacitors have been upgraded to Auricaps and Sonicaps. Resistors and wiring upgraded too. Inductors are potted.

If you've ever heard these speakers you know what they are capable of. These may be the best pair you will find that have not yet been rebuilt, and you know what those rebuilds cost.

Pickup in North-East Florida (32081) is vastly preferred. I do have the original cardboard boxes but I would not suggest shipping them without building a secure crate. If you want them shipped that would be on your own dime and time and effort to have them crated and shipped properly.

In the meantime I'm enjoying the hell out of these. I am not the original owner but I've been happily playing beautiful music through them for the last 15-20 years. They have plenty of life in them and you could finally own a pair of these that will still compete with most top shelf speakers being sold for 10x the price today. Auditions available before purchase, if you want to hear them, of course.

Magnaplaners can only dream of sounding this fast and transparent and dynamic. These very well might have been the best speakers in the world back around the year 2000 and there are several modern day clones costing tens of thousands with very similar designs.
