Triode Wire Labs NEW Bi-WIRED speaker cable options

Recently, I was requested by one of my audiophile customers to fabricate a custom "Double Shotgun" cable, basically a doubled-up wire version of my standard speaker cables for his Acora SRC-2 loudspeakers (which only have one set of speaker cable inputs). His feedback was "They are great and probably the best wires I've heard yet..." So I decided to offer them as one of my website speaker cables.

These "Doubled-up" SHOTGUN speaker cables (also called double shotgun, double-run, double-barrel or parallel shotgun) refer to using two complete pairs of speaker cables in parallel for a standard single-wire connection. This single wire connection has two connectors at the amplifier end (+ and –) and two connectors at the speaker end (+ and –). When the speakers are not bi-wireable, this creates a single effective pair of connections, but with roughly twice the conductor cross-section (halving resistance and improving current delivery). It is the electrical equivalent of using a much thicker single cable.

Another customer with Vandersteen speakers requested an "EXTERNAL Bi-Wire" speaker cable pair. Apparently, Richard Vandersteen strongly recommends "EXTERNAL Bi-Wired Speaker cables". So I decided again to offer them as one of my website speaker cables.

These EXTERNAL BI-WIRE speaker cables has two fully independent pairs of cables of equal length and construction. Both pairs connect in parallel at the amplifier's single set of speaker terminals (positives together, negatives together). At the speaker, one pair goes to the HF terminals and the other to the LF terminals. Any jumpers present must be removed. External bi-wiring effectively doubles the conductor cross-section (halving resistance) compared with a typical internal bi-wire cable, while fully isolating the high- and low-frequency current paths for the entire run.
