Shopping with Pman at PREX yesterday before the Zu GTG:

The prize, a 6-eye  clean copy of Miles Davis - "Jazz Track".

This has the album "L'Ascenseur pour l'echafaud" on it, I love this CD and wanted it on vinyl for the longest time.

Freddie Hubbard Blue Note Re-issue "Here To Stay" with 2 albums, one being "Hub Cap" which I've wanted on vinyl for some time.

Bunch of  Dexter Gordon issues, starting with one I've wanted - "Gettin' Around'. Still a few early BN releases from the 60's I want, but also grabbed;

Great Encounters - promo copy
Tangerine
Manhattan Symphonie - promo copy
The Tower of Power

A Richydoo rec;

Paul Desmond and Gerry Mulligan - "Two of a Mind"
Pauld Desmond - "From the Hot Afternoon" (this title made me laugh as it rose to 101 degrees outside)

New release from Silversun Pickups - "Neck of the Woods"

And Bill gave me copies of 3 Yes classics;

Close to the Edge
Tales From Topographic Oceans
Fragile.

Good people that Bill is.

I haven't been buying much of anything lately but I picked up the following vintage vinyl titles:

The Art Tatum Solo Masterpieces (Pablo mono 13 LP set)
The Art Tatum Group Masterpieces (Pablo mono 8 LP set)
Ella Fitzgerald - The George and Ira Gershwin Song Books (Verve Deep Groove mono 5 LP set -- very rare to find one complete like this one with the booklet, artwork, and 7" bonus EP)
Lester Young - It Don't Mean a Thing (Verve Deep Groove Mono LP)
Django Reinhardt - The Best Of (Capitol deep groove mono 2 LP set)

Here's some new arrivals.

I would have preferred original deep groove Bud Powell Verve pressings but decent ones are very scarce, so I'm happy to have these minty LPs from Japan.

I've been looking for a clean copy of Ready for Freddie, how's the playing in your opinion?

Terrific.  IMO this is Freddie Hubbard's best album on Blue Note.  Wayne Shorter and McCoy Tyner as sidemen are icing on the cake.

The album in the photo is a Music Matters 45RPM 180g reissue.
