Hey guys, Thanks so much for all of the info on Blue Note. It is a label that I always know was out there but for whatever reason never paid much attention to (Hey I can't own them all  ...... well maybe i can try  8-[ ) Started searching through my usual sources (library, Crack House etc.) and found some really nice stuff, both musically and sonically.

Oh boy, now I have a whole new label and set of artists to track down. I'd better get started on building that new record rack.

Don't forget other great jazz labels, such as Riverside, Verve, Contemporary, Mercury/EmArcy, Columbia, Impulse!, Atlantic, and Pacific Jazz.  And that's just from the LP era.

Going back to the 78 era there's Savoy, Commodore, RCA Victor, Columbia/Okeh, Majestic, Melotone, Cameo, Joe Davis, Dial, Keynote, Perfect, Vocalion, Varsity, and Decca (not so much jazz focused during the LP era, but Decca was huge jazz label of the 30s and 40s).
