Chris still has the cables. He was going to leave them but I didn't want to go through the hassle of pulling the components out of the rack. It's  tight back there  so I didn't want to mess the cables up. I'm sure Chris is breaking them in. We didn't get to demo them. I think we used 1 interconnect as a digital cable for the DAC. Go ahead and post about them .

Good idea.  I have heard the ML1 Reference you got compared to a base model ML3 - they are about the same price.  The base ML3 kills the ML1 in most circumstances.  The ML2 is closer to the ML3's than the ML1.  I suspect the ML2 version I will be getting out to you will similarly kill the ML1 Reference and be a bit cheaper to boot.  There are some circumstances however such as near field monitoring where the ML1 is the better choice and also if you need a portable system like Eric Hider does.

Thanks

Well let me just say this about the cables.  Nothing out our way touches them and all sorts of stuff has been tried.  The standard demo Mike does is some ridiculously priced $10K cables he has is demoed blind against his cables.  He even does the trick of saying he changed the cables and didn't.  Its a joke - Mikes cables kills them.  Before hearing these cables the first time I visited Mike about a year ago I was a cable skeptic.  That changed very quickly.  My sister was with me that day and she knows nothing about Hi Fi - even she was surprised.  Basically they add 'life' and realism.  I remember calling into a local Hi Fi store that had a sale on and they let me check out some top of the line Van Der Hull - it robbed life and made the music, for want of a better word, sound 'brown' - like a blanket had been placed over the speakers.

Thanks

Evan..next time you plan on making a video, take your meds first...Your Parkinson was acting up man.

But amazingly the sound was quite good, I could hear the tinkley treble and the bass was nicely produced.

Thanks Martin. I was going to use my tripod but I'm missing the part that screws into the bottom of the camera. Any way I think I have come up with a better way to capture the sound with less hiss. Stay tuned I have 1 more video on the way  :thumb:

OK here it is . I couldn't fix the sound. Last video as my wife has just come home and I think she likes the video camera idea

As for the cables.... I'm checking them out here...letting them "burn in" for a bit...they are well built.

Hi Chris

Great to hear and look forward to your impressions.  Trouble with being in Aus we don't have access to the stuff you do.  There are some cables out your way I suspect will be stiff competition such as Reality cables.

Thanks
Bill

You need to sit a Barbie doll on that speaker stand swing Chris. :D

Hi Guys

First check out:
http://www.audionervosa.com/index.php?topic=3228.msg39863#msg39863

Here is what the go now is.  You guys can keep the ML1's until the ML2's arrive or until Eric jumps up and down and wants them then they will be sent out to Eric.  You can use them for meets etc and have them in in-home auditions. When that is over it will be off to people elsewhere in the US to check out.

Thanks
Bill
