Made an offer on Audiogon and it was accepted. No way my Tube Amp can power these babies. Guess I'll be selling my amp and Songtowers (maybe Evan wants to buy them back?). Here's a pic from the seller. and one more.

Ohhh - the black ones, I was looking at those.

I'd really like to hear some SS8s.

Congrats on your purchase. Wow what beautiful speakers. They must sound amazing. I'm probably thinking if those Salk Veracity HT3s were to run on tube power it would require those Bob Carver Tube Monoblocks with lots of Tung Sol KT-120 tubes.

I'd like to hear the SS8s as well. Can't afford them new but would love to hear them. Not sure if anyone in this area has bought a pair yet.

Haven't heard the HT3s yet. Picking them up either this weekend or during the week. I've heard Joe's pair in SI

I'll probably look for a Tubed preamp and SS power amp to power these but I'll give the Jolida a shot. My guess is Digital might work but Analog is another story.

Definitely look at serious SS power and a nice tubed pre.  If you can find a bipolar amp biased into Class A a little heavier than normal, it's a very nice match.

Might be time to get the Hafler DH101 & SAE 2400L out of mothballs.

I'd be happy to bring my Vac pre and Cherry Plus amp over anytime. Don't see why I couldn't leave them for a spell too.

Congrats on the new speaks!

Yes!!! A Rave is now a must Paul. You can get a chance to hear all kinds of different amps driving your new speakers that way ;)
