A clock I want to build

I think this clock is awesome. I am sooooo going to build one of these.
Looking for more ideas, I started searching for more pictures.

I know I could buy one fairly cheap, but...... what's the fun in that?

Hey Rich!

Looks like the veneer just has to be thin enough and light (in color) enough for light to shine through. From what I can tell, it's not a "special" kinda of veneer.

I wasn't thinking of making an iPod dock like the ones shown, but if I could find chrome drivers like theirs, I might give it a shot.
