Also, she is releasing a new album called "Smash" on Jan 22 and the Feb 1st show is the album release party, so I would think she will likely be selling copies and signing them at the show.

Patricia Barber is not to be missed!   I saw her perform at least a half dozen times at the Green Mill in Chicago a dozen years ago when I traveled there frequently for work.  Can't wait to hear her new album.

So far I know of the following who are attending the show. Location is 116 E. 27th St (between Park and Lex). Doors open at 6:30 - general admission so be there early to get a prime spot.

There is a restaurant with barbecue - Unfortunately - there are no tables available. All full up at the Jazz Standard. So I would suggest meeting at Rattle and Hum (14 E 33rd St between 5th and Madison) at 5PM for dinner and pre-show warm up.

Any other sugegstions? Any other attendees?

They do serve food in the club, same menu as the restaurant above.
I saw/heard PB there last year, I had food/wine while listening to the concert.  Renée Fleming was in the audience.

Enjoy the concert. Yeah, and arrive early to get choice seats.

Well, the Jazz Standard certainly has some good BBQ. We each had the rib sampler (the Memphis ribs were the best) and had some good craft beers. Then downstairs to the venue itself, and they give us a table right next to the stage behind the drummer. Very intimate place, small and nicely done indeed.

Pat only played for an hour, and focused mostly on her new stuff (she did play Caravan too). She signed her new CD for us too (she has the handwriting of a serial killer, or a doctor, so I had to ask her to translate what she wrote for me).

All in all, an enjoyable night.
