     I will probably host a rave in late August or early September.
     However, attendance will have to be limited.  It's just too much having 40 or so audiophiles at my house on one day.  My first priority is to entertain those who have entertained me in the past.  Also I have made several friends from the NY Audio Rave group over the past years, as informal as it may be, who are high on my list of invitees.  My plan is for a rave and not a mini audio show.
     I believe the format of old raves is gone for a few reasons.  Firstly, Phil Lam wanted a vehicle to demo his products.  As he was a dealer, I can certainly understand this; Phil wanted to sell gear.  Secondly few of the NY Audio Rave members have spaces large enough to hold more than a few people at a time.  Lastly, what is the rationale for such an event?.  I think it has to be friendship.
       I don't believe it's an "automatic" that Audio Syndrome members  attend NY Audio Rave gatherings just as it's not an automatic NY Audio Rave members attend Audio Syndrome gatherings.  I believe this should always be done by invitation.
         This is the only way I can see to proceed in the future.  To wit, most of the NY Audio Rave gatherings in recent times have been small in numbers.  Thank you for listening to me.

Hear ye, hear ye. The only way to do this in the future (and in the past for many of us) is through invitation. Those left out shouldnt feel bad, because they can be included next time. The old style, open door all invited, go ahead and pull my rig apart raves were just masochistic and prone to follow up divorce proceedings. Much kudos to those that managed to pull them off. They were tons of fun, but I for one can't host that and survive.my marriage.

That being said, if anyone ever wants to hear my rig just drop me a note and I will see what I can do in small batches.
