OK Rave is cancelled.

Some of you guys know this already, but I did some renovation work on my house and had to take my audio room apart to help with the rebuilding of the entrance way to the house.
Since then I have not completely finished that  audio room. Summer came, which I spent almost every weekend hiking and continue to do every weekend....hence the room is not finished.

and my desire to finish it is not that strong, being busy with work and spending time in the woods or with my family, I sort of lost my interest in the hobby.

I still enjoy this hobby, but the hiatus was eye opening and new interests are driving me away from the hobby, perhaps one day I will be back...but for now it is a refreshing break.
So everything will be put up for sale. I have plans for a much smaller system based on vintage gear, gear that sounds so good for like no money it boggles my mind why I wasted so much in the first place!
It was and is a very healthy break..that I needed and truly appreciate.

Mike

Wow, our loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Picked up hiking now?  I remember bumping into you guys that time on the trail.  That was so surprising!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had a few hobbies over the years.
Speaker building, Astronomy, Trap shooting,
Pistol shooting, Fishing.
One time or another I have put one or more on the back burner.

Don't forget , I have the keys to the observatory if you want to do a little stargazing one clear night.....Greg

Thanks everyone it has been lots of fun.
Everyone I have met in this hobby has been great.
Many of the people I know have been part of the NY Rave, and I have learned so much from these people I consider good friends!
Most people would be jealous of the audio upbringing I had, God all the great raves we had...all the great people and all the fun.

Some of you knock the NY Audio Rave, but NO club ever had as much fun as we did, and NO club ever attracted as many people as we did in so short a time. We really did look forward to every month's meeting....those of you who where part of it know what I mean....lots of fun

I am not going anywhere, and will still play at this hobby, just the intensity I had for it has been replaced with other interests

Let's see who steps up to the plate, offering an Oct. RAVE?!

I will step up to the plate with a November rave. Stay tuned for details.

Of course, it will feature my 200WPC Midlife Crisis 833C DHT SET mono amps, 26 preamp, and hot-rodded Infinity RSIIb speakers.

Mike, hope you're still interested enough to attend!

Geez Mike,
I thought you had Munchausen Syndrome based on the number of systems changes you've made

Hey Mike. GOOD FOR YOU. Nothing like spending time with the kids. before you know it they are all grown and start a new life with their friends.
Audio is a great pass time for me. However you know when the Sun is shinning no audio room for me.
Enjoy your family now. Hiking must be a wonderful thing for your Son. Action, physical and good Ol fun.
For some this hobby becomes an obsession especially for addictive personalities like me and you. draw that line in the sand and enjoy your family, a'int nothing better. Priceless.

if anyone is interested

I had this amp in my system for a month or so, Mike gave it to me to use for a bit while he got his house construction done. It had come to me directly from being upgraded and modified. From the first listen it sounded wonderful and engaging. It has not been fully broken in yet, so I imagine it will only get better.   Greg

I really could have used a rave this weekend.

You definitely out? Pulling a "lonewolf" on us? All gear sold?

Come to my Rave to get the juices following again. You CAN have both audio and family
