I am a little biased as I set this up, but I really wanted Mikey to hear what these caps can do, he got a taste of it and liked it.

You capacitor fetishist, you.

Good to learn about a nice kit tube amp. Thanks Mike

Mike ( Topround) was nice enough to lend me his RM9 modded with the Jupiter Caps. Up to now I have only about 50 hrs or so on the amp.
My system consists of a Primaluna Dialogue Premium preamp, Bryston BCD1 CD palyer,  Bryston 4B power amp and my GTA2.5 planar hybrid speakers. Which now have active bass for all dynamic cone drivers, freeing up the power amp to drive only the planar and ribbon drivers.
Switching the 4B for the RM9 changed the presentation to more brains over brawn. This is expected as the 4b is unbeatable for sheer slam and high spl output. But the RM9 allowed for more delicate timing cues and leading edge transients to define the soundstage. I was surprised how easy it was to follow the bass lines, even at very low volumes. The transparency and resolution of the amp has taken a big step up.
Anyone in the area is welcome to come hear for yourself.

Yup, I'm glad I put them in my amp!  8)

And I will use the 100V version for my speakers too.

There is only 1 cap in my speaker, but its 24uf..I imagine that would be pretty pricey...Greg

Always knew you were kinky Mike, but a fetishist! Congrats on the mention, and getting Fremer to listen to something as innocuous as a cap. I guess on his blog he can do anything he wants. Not so with Stereophile articles.

We can always hope that the major mags will eventually take notice of the DIY side a bit more. For me materials matter, sonically. Designers know this as well, otherwise they would just buy the cheapest caps and all our equipment would have Solens in it! Thankfully most don't.

next up is Daves silver/gold wire.

keep an eye out for that

Mike, who installed the caps for you?  Thanks.

I have a friend that is a audio tech, a new guy, who is very professional , reasonable and does absolutely the highest grade work yet!  Local to me.

If you need anything let me know he fixes everything, I mean everything. And he tests the whole unit, measures it and brings everything into spec, you should see the micro surgery he did to my RM 9! No one, not even Roger would do what he did.

Anyone know when the 100V versions will be available?

Yeah, unfortunately I need three 12uf caps per speaker.
Three tens and twos would probably take up too much space, even in the separate crossover compartment base of my speakers.  :(

I could have an external crossover compartment made, which I've thought of: we'll see.
