Seconded. As I former owner of several Modwright modded CDPs and two pre-amps, I've been wanting to hear a Modwright amp for a while.  :thumb:

Thanks. The other amp that was suggested was a Pass, but I don't like that the amps run hot and they need to placed outside a rack. Also I never heard one that I really liked. They were super clean, but lifeless, dry. The MW has glorious midrange. More fleshed out sound. IMO better than a Pass.

Clearly an excellent piece that flies way higher than its price-point. What's next on your audio "To Do" list?
Meanwhile, enjoy the new level of sonic satisfaction that comes from intelligent design and the proper implementation thereof... Kinda cool when you really CAN hear what those differences reward you with?!

Response Audio

Excellent choice. Dan makes one hell of an amplifier (as well as other pieces). Im sure you'll be very happy with it for many years.

Thanks all. I have not enjoyed my system like this since the 1990's. I purchased this based on the rave user reviews (because the magazines cover most of the mass marketers brands) and recommendation from lissner. Besides a great sounding piece, I like the fact that it is not a common brand. It defies everything we (as audiophiles) have learned is necessary when buying an amp; that bigger, heavier, hotter is better. Well, this amp is conservatively  rated at 130 wpc and runs cool and I don't need a crane to lift it.

My next upgrades will be digital rca cable. Any suggestions?

I gotta find an old e-mail chain on when I bought it, so I know what $$$ I have in it.  Keep reminding me!
