The 11A has arrived in fine shape....
Nice golden finish....goes into system now.

Steve....I have a pair of your IC's already...
anything different about the new ones you sent ?
I see both wires are black now...mine are one red and one black.

About the power cord....does this come with the preamp or...
just something your sending around with the 11A ?

Hi Chris,

     The fact that it has not been damaged by the shippers by now must be a record. 

Yes, there should be some difference in the sound but can not remember how much. Been too long. The newer one is closer to 'nothing' than the older one, but you might want to compare and see what you think. I think they are close enough that they are system dependent, but don't quote me on that.

Yes, the color change is because the company does not manufacture Red any more except by special order. The L and R connectors should have a red and white stripe respectably.

And there is a color band on part of the connector, on the metal portion, on one end of each cable, so one can orient them the same. Might try checking them orientated both ways and see if there is a difference.

Yes again. The power cord is standard issue Chris; Jenalabs power cord. But it is not her expensive ones.

Well Steve....I've really been enjoying the 11A all week...
what a great job you've done with this preamp !!

Tonight I have it matched up with my KR Audio tube amp...
and a pair of Al's (Raw Acoustics) OBX2 speakers...great sound.

The 11A is so clean....lets you hear each and every change...nice !!!

I know it has to move on....so I don't know where its going...

Whose next ?
