November Rave

As promised, I'll be holding a November rave at my house in Branchburg, NJ, details below. All are invited but please PM me for address and phone info and to let me know you are coming.

Date: Saturday, November 15
Time: 2:00pm to 8:00pm (maybe later if we're having too much fun!)
Food/Drinks: Food will be served. We will have some beer but please bring your own favorite libations.

Main system in family room:
Infinity RSIIb speakers, circa 1985 (hot-rodded by yours truly)
200WPC DHT SET mono amps (DIY, "The Midlife Crisis")
26 Preamp (DIY, "Max26") featuring Slagleformer volume controls as output "transformers"
Zero One Audio Mercury Archival CD Player with 750GB hard drive
Zu Event and Varial ICs
TWL 7+ and DIY Belden 83803 power cords

Second system in living room:
Same source and preamp
Crown XLS802 800WPC stereo amp
Magnepan MMG wall-mount speakers
Monitor Audio Radius 720 subwoofer
In-wall volume control

Feel free to bring your favorite CDs or HD tracks on CD (.WAV format only!). I do not have a turntable at this juncture (probably my next big purchase). My source has hundreds of CDs ripped bit perfect onto the hard drive in pretty much all genres, so there should be music to fit everyone's taste at some point in the day.

The idea is to have fun, listen to some great music, eat and drink, and of course I'd like to get your impressions of the gear I've built over the last few years.

Hi Max,
I'd love to come but we are flying back from Puerto Rico that day so I don't think I'll be up for visiting.

Hate to pass up a local rave and I really wanted to hear the beasties.

Some other time...

I'd like to have a few peeps over some time - My system is 100% new since youse guys heard it. But I don't want to bring bad weather to the region again so we'll see.

I'm going to miss it too!  (Previous family plans that I can't get out of!)  I really was looking forward to seeing and hearing those "glow in the dark" coffee cans too!

The 15th is the only Sat in  the entire month of Nov that I have something booked.

I worked in a radio station when I was in college and our transmitter used the same  output tubes that Max built his amps around, so I was really looking forward to hearing it. Grrrrrgh.
