Eliane Elias at Birdland

Oh you New Yorkers have it good, do you appreciate what a gem you have in Birdland? Saw Ms. Elias there last night, what a great show. Nice, intimate setting, great acoustics, great music. And my host had gotten there early and staked out the table 'front and center' to the stage, the guitarist was almost in my lap. Superb.

I hope folks who live here get into clubs like this to support live music. My host going to The Blue Note tonight to see Pat Metheny and asked if I wanted to go, but I have to head home to PA. Bitter.
