My favorite is Song for My Father, got that at Amoeba on Sunset Strip. Hey Nick, if you go to SoCal for MadPlatter, you have to drive into LA to hit Amoeba.

I liked the work that Shearing did on the Concord CDs with Mel Torme, so when I saw this one in the quarter bin I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try.

Big mistake. This is a bunch of 101 Strings like elevator music. Yuck.

Glad I only spent 25 cents on it.

SQ is not as good as the King Records Super Analogue pressing I have, but heck it was only a dollar.

This one is going into my son's collection. The first time he came to an AudioSyndrome meeting with me he was about 13 years old and he got into an argument with one of the guys over whether the Ansermet or Reiner was a better performance of Pictures. Bless his heart.

Beautiful expansive and airy soundstage.

Unfortunately this copy has a bit more ticks than I would like to put up with. Hopefully a good stiff cleaning with the steamer will cure that.

Was not sure if I had a copy of this when I saw it at the tag sale and it was only a buck so I figured I would take a chance.

Well it turns out that this album was included in the MoFi Sinatra Box Set that I have and that pressing is much better sounding than this stock one.

Oh well.....
