2 Reviews:

1. Audio Quality: EXCELLENT SOUNDBOARD (sb10)

Notes: This is the final show of the "Greatest And Latest", and the best bootleg of that tour. The audio quality is an excellent soundboard, and the track-list is nearly complete (just "Is there Something I Should Know?" and "Virginia Plains" are missing). The show was aired in a Japanese TV, so the video version is also available. All the greatest hits of their history are here, and the performance is very good. My favourite songs are "Friends Of Mine", "Careless Memories", "Secret Oktober" and "All She Wants Is". Simon sings all the hits with energy and passion. The songs are performed in their original "album" or "single" version and no different arrangements are here, included "Secret Oktober" which is performed in its slow version. During "Rio", Simon introduces a special guest: ANDY HAMILTON playing the sax solo! Even if you are not a collector, you should have this CD: this is the definitive Duran Duran "Greatest Hits" in an excellent LIVE version.

2. Excellent sound. Excellent show. Excellent energy!!

One of my favorite CD's here.  DURAN DURAN played this wonderful show at Wembley in December 1998. Wish I was there. There are a couple of guest appearances by Tessa Niles (female vocals on COME UNDONE) & Andy Hamilton (saxaphone on RIO, toured with DD from 81-87).  "FRIENDS OF MINE", "CARELESS MEMORIES" & "ALL SHE WANTS IS" kick serious butt here. If you don't have this show you must get it now!

then the rest of the show.  After the
first 25 - 30 minutes the show is
recorded louder but then there is
  saturation of vocals and bass.

I used a dehisser and BBE to improve
the sound. There is slight hiss duirng
the softer passages of music. This

Santanamigos lists this as "Santana #49": Carlos Santana (guitar / percussion / vocals), Myron Dove (bass), Walfredo De Los Reyes (drums), Raul Rekow (percussion / vocals), Karl Perazzo (percussion / vocals), Chester Thompson (keyboards / vocals), Alex Ligertwood (guitar / vocals).

Lineage: 2 x Sennheiser 421 microphones on soundboard riser > Dat master (2 x Maxell DM 120, unknown model deck recorded at 48 kHz. sampling rate).

Transfer [2012-06]: Panasonic SV-3700 (S/PDIF coax/RCA output) > Macintosh with Digidesign Audiomedia III card > Pro Tools (minor "nip and tuck" edits, tracking and down-sampling - no equalization or DNR) > AIFF files > xACT (Flac level 8 files with sector boundaries verified).

Note: There is a bit of diginoise during the Bill Graham taped intro. Also the official Santana site lists Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen > Oye Como Va between Savor and Wings Of Grace but the recording is a seamless master and those songs are not there and were apparently not performed at this show. Another difference is that the official site lists Elmore's Boogie where Super Boogie is in the set.
