Outstanding performance and a very good recording on this Sony Classical CD.  I just wish it was the entire ballet instead of excerpts, but what is there is scintillating.  A very bold and muscular reading.  Could be my favorite Romeo & Juliet recording.

If you like Hank Mobley you can get all of his 1950s Blue Note recordings in a nice 6 CD boxed set from Mosaic Records.

Glad you liked it.  Mosaic is my favorite specailty jazz reissue label.

Here are a few recent acquisitions (the Mingus set is not from Mosaic)...

That Ellington set has been a long time coming.  Pretty much everything that Duke put out on Columbia and Brunswick from 1932 to 1940.  If you're into jazz from that period it doesn't get any better.

You have 2???

Remember, I'm the guy that gave you a copy of Pachelbel's Canon 'cuz I had 8.

And yes, I'll take 1, I have 4 or 5 versions of 'Pictures', but not this Command one.
