Glass Hammer - Culture of Ascent (CD)
- Good melodic prog rock, the sofer kind with real strings and excellent male and female harmonies. The outstanding track on this disk is a great rendition of Yes's "South Sifde of the Sky"

Thanks, Bob.  I listened to their "South Side..." on YouTube; they are impressive.  The phrasing of "...of warmth when we die..." near the end gave me chills.  Frankly, by their own description on the site, I wouldn't have given this band a second look.  I'm glad you showed it to me.

I believe that the keyboardist is a regular over at AVS Forum...or  he was when I was a regular there several years ago.  He's a big movie buff.

Their newest one, released last year, is also supposed to be very good, but I haven't heard it yet.
