Th Beatles: 2012 Remastered LP Box Set

16 LP Set

The entire recorded works of the Beatles remastered onto 180g vinyl.

Better SQ that the 2009 CD remasters, but not by much. If I was not so anal, and it was not The Beatles I would probably have said the CDs are good enough. Buttttt..........

Took me a while to get through the set, but I did enjoys sitting down over  a number of nights and listening to the songs in the order that they were release. I was only a youngin' whe these albums were first released, but they still brought back memories.   8)

Had a craving for this today when I started hearing Jupiter in my head. I love this Bernstein reading. This is the old 1985 digital transfer from 73 recording, probably made from the vinyl mastertape. I have the vinyl too which doesn't sound much better. I recently heard this performance on the radio, where it sounded a hell of a lot better than I am used to. There is a new packaging now with 1997 publishing date. I wonder if it is a new master from the original tape? I love Jupiter. NYP under Bernstein was so raw, so powerful, so fearless. So fuck you to the classical establishment, classical/industrial complex. Like a great jazzer they can be out of tune and edgy, but they can really blow when the moment demands. I love NYP/Bernstein Dvorak 9th too.

Super nice recording. Lots of string detail. I feel it in my sinuses. Thanks Gene!

Celebration Day - Led Zeppelin

Really enjoying this concert. I think this may be better than anything else they ever did live. Can't wait for the DVD to arrive so I can watch it on my new 55" Plasma.  :thumb:
