Nice performances of a good selection of movie themed music.

However; be aware that this disc also contains sound effects that give it a huge dynamic range swing at both ends of the frequency spectrum, so be very careful not to crank the volume to high as you are listening to the music.

Hidehiko Matsumoto: The First By Sleepy

Toshiba Pro Use Direct to Disc LP (Japanese Import)

One of my favorite sax albums this LP was recorded direct to disc in 1977, just as high end TTs were starting to come into their own and as such, it was no that big of a seller and it tough to find. Although I have seen it offered on line, this is only the third time in all these year's that I have seen a physical copy. The first time was when a friend from work played it for me and I decided I needed to find one of these. The second time was when I scored a copy at a records store on the upper east side of Manhattan that was going out of business in the late 80s. An that was the last time I has seen an actual copy until this week when I found this one and figured for $10 it was worth having as a back-up copy. :thumb

Nice smokey sax with impeccable SQ.
