DSD sourced from a Linn SACD

I was very disappointed in this one. Musically it was OK, but not great. The sound of the music itself was rather veiled and the sound stage was quite dark and provided no sense of the hall at all. I was like the musicians were playing in a vacuum. I have quite a few Linn recordings and this one fell far shot of the SQ I have come to expect from them.  :(

Enzo Pietropaoli (bass) and Adriano Viterbini (guitar). I went to this on Tidal for the cover of ‘At The Dark End Of The Street’ by James Carr and stayed for the great sound and other cover interpretations. Worth a listen if you’re into the sparse style.
