I am really enjoying these Tal Farlow albums. They are guitar based jazz similar to that of Kenny Burrell or Joe Pass. They are mellow enough to play in my office without raising the ire of my coworkers, while being upbeat enough not to put me to sleep.

The recommendation from the DC group was not actually for these albums individually, but rather for a two CD set called Three Classic Albums Plus. I found all four albums on Qobuz, but for those of you without streaming access the set can be found on eBAy for $17, with free shipping.

There's something about these that are reminiscent of the slack key guitar of Hawaii fame. Different style for sure, but the timber is there.
Hitting up some Tal Farlow too, as per your post- there are so many good things out there, it is impossible to parse them all. Great to have tmazz as a guidepost. Thanks Tom.
