Hasten Down the Wind
Linda Ronstadt | Format: vinyl

Just put new tubes in the pre, needed something with a female vocal.

And she is definitely female. I'm not sure what I liked better, the music she made in the eighties or the photos she put on the record covers.  aa

I saw her play Radio City Music Hall in 1986. The music started and she bopped onto the stage in a high school cheerleader outfit. The next two sounds you hear were gasps from every male in the audience followed by groans as their wives elbowed then in the ribs (I had a black and blue mark for a week. )

Three of the best soloists in the world with Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic make for one the best recordings of Beethoven's Triple Concerto on record.  This vintage German EMI pressing is on heavy 180g vinyl and sounds fantastic.  Highly recommended.

Music is just like the stock market - Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

I think your error was expecting something good from Stevie Nicks independent of Lindsey Buckingham.

(Sorry...I know it's catty of me, but, jeez, I can't stand anything I've heard from her on her own.)

I picked up this collection of Russian music by Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on Deutsche Grammophon for a few bucks recently.  This is a 1977 pressing, and I usually pass on records from this period if there is a 1960s or 50s pressing available of the same work.  But the cost of this LP was so low that if it didn't pan out it was no great loss.  It is a great recording with fantastic sound.  If you run across this title in minty shape just buy it.  You can thank me later.

Ultimate Spinach was a psychedelic/hard rock/blues band originally from Boston. In their '60's heyday they specialized in lengthy songs such as "Ballad of the Hip Death Goddess", from Ultimate Spinach (1968) and "Genesis of Beauty", from Behold And See (1968).

This is a god one Gene!  :thumb:

Don't have that one, will keep my eyes open for it, and 2 others, and I'll be complete for Lee Morgan, at least all the ones I intend to get.

Guess how many of this I have, and how many trips it took me to collect them.
