Got my phono stage back after it began blowing fuses. It was a bad high power diode that shorted under load (no wonder I couldn;t find it myself). So I'm back on the vinyl trail again tonight.

Enjoying the music on this tonight, but you are right Tom, this record has got some bizarre surface noise for a new record. If I were to recommend it I would have to say go for the digital on this one boys.

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have  to blow your nose.

The final real album (1978) from Steven Georgiou before he disappeared (although he recently came back with some pretty mediocre stuff). This one isn't earth shattering but interesting none the less, good sound on vinyl as expected. Back to a simpler style than some of his other later stuff. Very introspective lyrics before he made his final conversion and disappeared from the scene.

Can't wait to finish up a long work day... tunes are helping me get through the evening. My wife got me onto Jamie Collum... any other fans out there?

How did Dr. Wiesner perform your repair on your Trumpet? He really likes Jim Hagerman's designs but really didn't like his serviceability on the Trumpet...

The Trumpet was made for sound and isolation of vibrations using rather extroadinary measures. It was not made for serviceability, and John had a really tough time getting to things to test and make the repair. I paid for his time and expertise rather than parts on this one. Jim agrees that this is a beast of a phono stage to service, but it sounds oh so nice.

next up - America - Hideaway on Vinyl (1976) I remember this one fondly, especially the song Watership Down, because I just finished reading that book when this album came out. Bunnies, it's about bunnies.

Live recording of Jesse Cook at Le Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. My wife has brought Jesse to her venue twice now... incredible show both times. If he ever finds his way to a city near you... jump on some tickets.
