I have got so many Christmas albums by so many people that I just refuse to buy any more. It seems that to consider yourself "professional" you have to release a Christmas album, and some people just keep doing it over and over again because it's pretty much all they can sell anymore (e.g. Mannheim Steamoller, Trans Siberian Orchestra, The Chipmunks, etc.).

That's where the lifetime residuals reside. Get a Christmas hit and you are set.

We play the same 8 CDs every year. The Time Life 2CD compilation has every big Christmas song on it. I do miss the Nat King Cole Christmas record we listened to when I was a kid. I might grab that some year...  And Jimmy Smith Christmas....
And Kenton Christmas....
