Lena Horne / Harry Belafonte - Porgy And Bess

Music wasn't bad, but the pressing was awful. Decent vinyl weight but noisy as hell. picked up as a sealed copy and in all the years I have been involved in record collecting this is the firsgt time I got a new LP that was naked in the cover with no paper sleeve. Extremely poor quailty for an RCA product.

I picked this up the other day based solely on the title. It looks
most likely to be a southern rock album

Modern concertos, perfect recordings, lots of color and dynamics. Difficult solo instruments with large orchestra accompaniment pose a challenge for an audio system.

Well these two albums answer a question I have asked myself many times while going through the racks at the Crack House, "For 69 cents how bad could it be?" Well this is how bad. The SQ on these two LPs was so bad I could not stand listrenib to even 5 minutes of either one of them. If you ever come across a copy of either do not walk, run away.

Gordon Lightfoot: Salute

Oh boy my ears feel much better now.  This album features the typical Lightfoot sound & style If you like him, you'll like this, If not, pass it by.

This is my favorite chamber music recording. Jupiter is top 3 string quartets now.  This CD makes me want to build better speakers, with better transient response for more excruciatingly beautiful detail.
