We're definitely getting rowdier these days as a group. I'm in progger mode lately

Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans (LP)
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have  to blow your nose.

BobM

Moody Blues - Seventh Sojourn (LP)
- another classic from these guys. Amazing songwriters; as good as anyone back then until they went pop in the 80's.

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have  to blow your nose.

Rowdy?  Tales from Topographic Oceans?  That record was inspired by Tantric scripture and boredom from riding a tour bus across North America (Actual fact). It is Yes's tribute to Navel Contemplation (Actual opinion).

If you want rowdy from Yes, get the CD re-release of Relayer and play the studio run through of "The Gates of Delirium." That'll set your progger hair afire.

Tales has its rowdy moments, especially side 4, but yes it is mostly melodic symphonic prog. So maybe that's why I moved onto Moody Blues and then Joni.

Peter Gabriel 4 - Security (LP)
- going back to a more mainstream prog theme

The only speakers I ever blew in my life met their fate on "Kiss of Life."  I was having such a good time, I got a little crazy with the volume control.

That was my point. I started out with metal on the way home, progressed to Yes, then went symphonic then Joni then Gabrial. Now Kamelot and back into the prog-metal scene. It's a progression of progressive ...
