"The Dark Side of the Moon" [30th Anniversary Edition] Pink Floyd | Format: Audio CD Hybrid SACD - DSD

The 30th Anniversary Edition is far and away the best version of DSOTM ever released in both the analog and the digital realms. (I sure it would not surprise anyone to hear me say I like the LP better  ). Absolutely blows the doors of off of then new "Why Pink Floyd" series version which is all compressed to appease the ipod crowd. Although I do have to say that the SACD and vinyl versions of Wish You Were Here are quite good. I got the copy from the library of The Wall  CD that was release back in Sept as part of the box set of all the Pink Floyd albums and it displays the same type of over compressed sound as the DSOTM CD from the same series. Supposedly the LP release due out in Spt is being sourced directly from the analog master tapes and it will be more cleanly mastered and not follow the DSOTM LP.

Thanks for the info on the new remasters! I was considering getting a few of them as the reviews on Amazon seem to indicate excellent sonics, but I know that they are likely not audio folk writing most of those reviews. I guess I'll save my $$
