Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey.... 2 Cds...  :thumb:

So outside of the Stones Bill Wyman does Blues, Charlie Watts does Jazz and Keith Richards does.... ah... drugs.

I guess we all have to have a hobby.

It was actually full almost a month ago,     but it took me a while to get the time to start building.    aa

Tom -

I have 3 of the 8-opening Ikea racks, I think you saw them. I bought the 1st, Bill said "you shoulda gotten 2".

I bought a second and Bill said "you shoulda gotten 2".

So I bought the 3rd. I can see eventually I'll need still another.

In a year I'll need a 4th, but the walnut veneer is no longer made, so I'll be saying "I shoulda gotten a 4th when I had the chance".

These two Kenny Dorham albums were actually the final two CDs  I listened to last night while finishing the record rack but I was just too tired to sit down and write the post by the time I finished at 3AM.  [-(

I ran into the same problem with CD racks from Best Buy. I initially bought four. About a year later my son came up with an idea on how to squeeze in a fifth (with a little modification to work around a lolly column that was in the way.) I went to Best Buy picked up the exact same unit with the same SKU and when I put it together I found that the manufacturer changed the design and the unit did not match the ones I already ad in place that it would be butting up against. Now granted, the difference is small and I don't think anyone would ever notice it, especially when it is fully loaded ( which of course took no time at all  ), but it still makes me crazy because I know it's there.

Now my problem going forward is not going to be building additional racks, but rather the fact that I will need to put an addition onto my house to have a place to put any more racks.  #-o

And of course thinning the herd by getting rid of some infrequently listened to LPs and CDs is simply out of the question, it is just not in my DNA.   ](*,)

... and now back to our regularly scheduled program

Haken - Visions (CD)

- Cool cover, cool prog-metal music. Probably one of my "best of" disks from 2011 in this genre.

#6172
The Pachelbel Canon, Albinoni Adagio and Other Baroque Melodies

Over the last 2 years I've acquired 8 copies of this, really like it.

Why 8, cuz they're all nicked in one way or another. But they all cost .50 cents to $1, so no big deal having more than 1 copy.

Had a copy in my hand in FL, looked pristine, and appeared to have LAST treatment as well, for $3.49. So I put it back.

Now listening to all 8 copies to see if I have one I can live with, or do I have to buy the FL copy.

EDIT: Got a clean 1. For those wanting to try Baroque, this is a fine album/cd, and Amazon has a bunch in stock. And if you've been to more than 3 weddings in last 10 years, you've heard The Pachelbel Canon.

Pachebel Canon = theme song for New Age waifs. Can't stand it!

But it is pretty advanced for Baroque, so it was probably a big shift in popular music of the time. Of course there was no popular music of the time, but it sure is popular now!

Geez Rich, I've been called many things, but at 300lbs, never a waif.  ;)

Somehow I think Pachebels Canon might not really be your theme song, Gene?
