All of the other things I have from Steeplechase are LPs. The sound was not as good as the vinyl, but it was still quite good for a CD.

Good recordings still shine through.

Grab this one while you still can.

I for one will be looking to pick up more from this Tone Poet series.

I loved Lyn Stanley's first three albums, but was rather disappointed with the performances on The Moonlight Sessions. But I am happy to say that this album returns to the quality I enjoyed on the early releases.

I already have this on XRCD so when I get a chance I am looking forward to comparing the XRCD to the Redbook layer of this disc as well as DSD on the SACD layer.

do you need special equipment or software to play XRCD (JVC) ?
Is that something new that will disappear like the audio cassette, VHS,Beta max, etc....
