TBH I think it is mastered for not sitting in the "sweetspot". Just a thought. It does sound kinda bass shy when I'm in my chair but when I'm not it sounds amazing.

Huh, I've never heard of that before. Does that happen with any other albums or just this on in particular?

Now I may just have to look for a copy of this pressing just to see if I hear the same thing.

Went to PREX yesterday and they had one copy in the bin. Took a look and what luck, RL in the deadwax!

Giving it a spin right now.
