What Are The Meters on My Integrated Amp Telling Me?

Is there a hard and fast rule on what the display means? I think on Pass class A amps the needle only moves when the amp switches to class AB operation.
My Luxman has the more traditional -60 dB to +3 dB display. Does 0 dB represent the point at which the amp is clipping, or is there more to it than that?
Thanks for any input.

James are not the meters on the Luxman for power output ? The red area indicates clipping point.

Yes they are power meters, but not marked in watts. I thought maybe there was some correlation between the - dB point and a given number of watts. The Spatials are pretty efficient, and I haven't yet come near the clipping point.
Thanks.
