First Watt Sit3 courtesy of Joe - we didn't get a chance to listen, but I did this morning so i will give my thoughts on it later.

Looked like the clear winner was the Wilsenton R8 and Zu combo with Joe's Brimar 6sn7's and I thought the Lin Lai's were good. these were just WOW.

The Gan Fet's were hooked up in the den more on that later. Had a few poltergeists why I don't know. Before everyone came all was good. during not so good. This morning all is playing fine.

Thx Evan for hosting.  I had a great time catching up with everyone and listening to some tunes.  Enjoyed the 6sn7 tube rolling session.

I am going to look at finding some 7n7 with adapters as replacement for Sylvania 6sn7 that Joe brought which for me was one of the top 3 tubes that we tried.

Orchard Audio Starkrimson and ClassD Audio Mini Gan 5 amps

 Brief rundown.
I was supposed to work today but called out. I had to give Gan Fet amps a workout. The Class D amp came last week and had issues they sent a replacement, and all was fine. Both amps were good. Come rave time Deepak and I were having problems with getting both amps to work properly. We actually gave up. Stayed up last night to put all back in place. Amps were working with no problems go figure. I hooked up the FW Sit 3 first just to have a baseline and it did nothing for me. Not what I expected. I played the Orchard for a few hrs and the sound is gorgeous. Very transparent, this is what I expected to hear from the first Watt. I have heard the FW in Joes system and it was excellent. I switched to the Class D and it had some good qualities as the Orchard just not at the same level though but also take into its 1/3 the price so I would assume Leo must work some magic in there. Well after a few hours of listening to the Class D it happened... ZZZt same as the first. I'm done. after a few emails with Class D its going back for a refund. I will not say what went on in the emails, but they are not someone I will work with again. The Gan Fet is a good technology and if by going on Orchards idea of digital Class A it's a winner. Someday maybe I would switch over just not now. I'm happy with the sound from my Rogue so I can't justify the expense of the Orchard.
