Quad 2812x or 2912x ??

These models are haunting me. Do not get me wrong I love our Qln line especially the Sing and Prestige 3. But but the Quads are a different animal. I have numerous Amps for both. Thinking about a 75th birthday present to satify my disease. ANY suggestions ?

My first high end dealer had Quad 57s. He was a Linn dealer and their amp was ok. That was a long time ago....in the late 80s.
