180 gram Vinyl... awesome recording by Opus 3 Records, German Pressing...

No CD or SACD can sound this real & analog sounding!

Pete, have you declared this to be Blues Weekend?

If you liked this one you should know that Opus3 has released two Eric Bibb albums ("Good Stuff" and "Spirit & The Blues") on double disc  45 RPM vinyl.

Vaughan Williams: Pastoral Symphony/Tuba Concerto - Andre Previn/London Symphony

RCA Red Seal LP

I picked this up out of curiosity because I had never seen a concerto written for tuba before. I actually end up liking the piece although it has a strange ending. he piece doesn't seen to come to a conclusion, it just stops almost like they ran out of tape while it is being played.

The Pastoral Symphony was enjoyable as well have an almost Arron Copeland flavor to it.

SQ was not outstanding but was good enough so as not to distract from the music.

Leonard Cohen: Old Ideas

Columbia CD

The best I can say to summarized this album is that it is very Leonard Cohenish. Cohen has a unique musical style that people either like or they don't. If you liked his earlier works you will most likely enjoy this one as well. If you didn't care for his previous albums I don't think there is anything in this one that will change your mind.

Miles Davis | Format: Vinyl & flac

Vinyl and flac versions as I start in on the dac comparo.

Starts with a slow version of Surrey With A Fring On Top that I like, and finishes with a poignant version of When I Fall In Love.

You don't have to post links to anything you don't want to.
