Oh, I was just going by the label name on the album cover. But interesting trivia anyway.

No, you're right Tom, the album cover does say Roulette, but the vinyl label says "Forum, division of Jaymo." I hadn't looked at the cover, but I looked at the label a lot while cleaning. :) Kinda looks like Roulette graphics with the parthenon roof.

Enjoy the listening tonight!

Just curious if you get a second can you take a look at the label and see where the LP was made. My gut feel is that this may be an LP that was licensed from Roulette for distribution in another country, thus the different label. Also check if there are any dates on the label and to they coresspond with any dates listed on the cover. it could also be that it was just licensed for reissue in the 70s or 80s when Rouolette was not doing as well financally and looking for easy cash. (why I let these things bother me, I don't know. )

Lerner & Lowe: Sonbbok for Orchestra - Erich Kunzel/Cincinnati Pops

Telarc CD

If you like the Pops this is a nice album from both a musical and a performance standpoint and it of course displays the usual Telrac HQ sound.

If you don't particularly care for the Pops in general or consider it elevator music, then don't waste your time with this.

Joe Walsh - Analog Man

Fantasy CD

Someting seems wrong about listening to the album on a CD, but I got it from the library and that is all they buy anymore.  :(

Typical Joe Walsh music and production.

But you just have to love a guy who records a song with the lyrics:

Whats wrong with vinyl,
I think it sounds great,
LP, 45s and 78s,
But that's just the way I am,
I'm an Analog Man

I took a picture of the label last night, forgot to post it, then deleted it.  :duh  Here's a new picture.

A Tribute to Oscar Peterson - Live at Town Hall

Telarc CD

From Amazon:
At the concert captured on this CD, Peterson was in the rare position of presiding over his own tribute. Live at Town Hall is an all-star lineup paying homage to the master at the New York venue in 1996. Sharing the stage with Peterson on this set are vocalists Shirley Horn and the Manhattan Transfer, Clark Terry on trumpet and vocals, Stanley Turrentine on tenor saxophone, Roy Hargrove on fluegelhorn, Milt Jackson on vibraphone, Benny Green on piano, Herb Ellis on guitar, Ray Brown and Neils-Henning Orsted Pederson on bass, and Lewis Nash on drums.
